Travis Etienne is out indefinitely with a foot issue, according to the Jaguars.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter and Bob Self through Imagn Content Services, LLC, Jaguars running back Travis Etienne is sidelined indefinitely with a midfoot strain.
Before leaving Monday’s game against New Orleans, Etienne grabbed one pass for three yards and carried the ball once.
He will need more tests to ascertain the extent of his injuries, and he was seen wearing a protective boot after the game.
Jacksonville chose the former Clemson Tiger in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft, making him the second former Tiger to do so.

Travis Etienne, a rookie for the Jaguars, was forced to exit the game against the Saints due to a foot injury.

Travis Etienne, a rookie running back for the Jaguars, only played three snaps in Monday’s preseason game before leaving with a foot injury.
Coach Urban Meyer revealed after the game that Etienne sprained his foot and that the club would find out additional information on Tuesday.
Before departing the game, Etienne had one carry for one yard and caught a 3-yard pass.
Etienne, the No. 25 overall choice in this year’s NFL Draft, had one carry for two yards in the Jaguars’ preseason opener against the Browns.
Etienne was a Clemson teammate of Jacksonville’s rookie quarterback, Trevor Lawrence, and graduated as the ACC’s all-time leading rusher with 4,952 yards over four seasons.
Jacksonville was defeated by New Orleans 23-21 on Monday.

Despite a foot issue, Carson Wentz is expected to play in Week 1 for the Colts.

According to ESPN’s Chris Mortensen, both Colts quarterback Carson Wentz and All-Pro guard Quenton Nelson are expected to play against the Seahawks in Week 1 as they recuperate from recent foot injuries.
Both Wentz and Nelson were expected to be out for five to twelve weeks after undergoing comparable procedures, according to the team.
On August 2, Wentz had surgery, while Nelson had surgery on August 3.
The Colts want to have a clearer idea of both players’ rehabilitation condition once they pass the two-week post-surgery mark, according to ESPN.
In Wentz’s absence, Sam Ehlinger, a sixth-round rookie, and Jacob Eason, a fourth-round pick in 2020, are splitting first-team snaps in practice.
In Wentz’s absence, head coach Frank Reich had earlier stated that Eason was in the “driver’s seat” to be the starter.
After being traded from the Eagles in the summer, Wentz is in his first training camp with the Colts.
Once the Eagles selected him with the No. 1 overall pick, he spent the first five years of his career in Philadelphia.
