Lamar Jackson’s new contract with the Ravens is estimated to be worth between $40 million and $45 million per year, according to reports.

Lamar Jackson, the quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens, is likely to sign a contract extension soon.
Jackson’s contract is projected to pay between $40 million and $45 million per season, according to ESPN’s Dan Graziano.
Among his contemporaries from the 2018 draft class, including Josh Allen and Baker Mayfield, his deal is seen as the most likely to be completed.
“It wouldn’t surprise anyone around the league if Jackson’s deal came in behind Mahomes’ $45 million-per-year average and ahead of Prescott’s $40 million,” Graziano writes.
Because he hasn’t been able to lead the Ravens past the second round of the playoffs in his three-year tenure, Jackson is unlikely to match Mahomes’ annual salary of $45 million.
Meanwhile, Mahomes has guided the Kansas City Chiefs to two Super Bowls in a row and three AFC Championship Games in a row.
Jackson, on the other hand, put up a promising 2020 campaign, leading Baltimore to the playoffs for the first time since 2014.
As Baltimore’s starter, the 2019 MVP has a 30-7 record and has thrown for 7,085 yards.
He also has 2,906 rushing yards, making him the first quarterback in NFL history to have multiple seasons of 1,000 yards or more.
According to Spotrac, Deshaun Watson ($39 million AAV) and Russell Wilson ($35 million AAV) are among the NFL’s highest-paid quarterbacks, alongside Mahomes ($45 million AAV) and Prescott ($40 million AAV).
