Apple is looking for a huge TV+ production location in Los Angeles, which may be more than half a million square feet in size.

Apple is looking for a production campus in Los Angeles, according to the Wall Street Journal, as it continues to invest in original content production.
The location might be over half a million square feet in size, with soundstages primarily for Apple TV+ productions to shoot on.
In addition to the numerous staging facilities it rents around the world, the production hub would be a new addition.
Because the available soundstages to hire are frequently filled months in advance, having permanent production stages has become crucial for streaming services.
Streaming corporations are increasingly purchasing huge sites for their own exclusive usage in order to keep content production farms running smoothly.
According to the WSJ, Mike Mosallam, an Apple retail executive, joined the company in January 2021 to head its soundstage expansion.
Apple already has a large 128,000 square foot property in the upscale Culver City neighborhood, which is being rebuilt to become the Apple TV+ headquarters (seen above).
Initially, it will house roughly 1000 employees.
Apple predicted in April that by 2026, the number would have risen to 3000.
Apple TV+’s content offering is dwarfed by all of its streaming competitors, at least in terms of total title count, due to the lack of a back-catalog library.
To entice members, the company is steadily establishing a premium selection of high-quality original TV episodes and movies.
Apple’s land investments are yet another indication of the company’s commitment to unique content.
Apple TV+ may also extend into live sports by streaming NFL Sunday Ticket games, according to persistent speculations. They include movie studio A24, Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine, and hazy suggestions that Apple TV+ may expand into live sports by streaming NFL Sunday Ticket games.
